Media Event for AsokaUSA PlugLink Debute Publicity Campaign
Event: Demo Environment Wrap Party

Over the last few months, a home and a small office have been running networks using AsokaUSA PlugLink appliances. As a thank you to hosts, members of the press and others who helped make the demonstration so successful, we’re having a party!

When: Friday, September 28, 2002, 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m..

Where: The AsokaUSA offices in South San Francisco

Who: Representatives of the media, Don Blaney of the Home Network Alliance, demo house and office hosts, representatives from local electronic retailers, AsokaUSA officers, engineers and employees.

How: Catered lunch, soft drinks, a drawing for a pair of AsokaUSA PlugLink appliances, a chance to try a PlugLink network and more!

Background
Over the last three months AsokaUSA has sponsored a family and a small office in the use of home plug in networking. This technology, which has not been widely publicized, offers families and small offices a chance to network their computers simply and at a modest cost.

Following the demo environment’s unqualified success, we will ask participants, including children, to attend the party and speak to reporters. The host family should be able to talk about using the system for educational, social and business functions.

Our host office manager should be able to talk about using the system to access files on a central computer and other business functions. We should document what use was made of the network and ensure the users are ready to answer questions.

On-Site Demo
We will have a demo environment set up to allow media representatives to try the system and at 1:30, starting from scratch, we will plug in the appliances and set up the network to show just how easy it is to set up a network with the AsokaUSA PlugLink system.
