- AsokaUSA is the maker of PlugLink USB and PlugLink Ethernet bridges, networking
appliances for home and small offices. Using existing electrical wiring
in buildings, PlugLink appliances allow users to create a network quickly
and easily. PlugLink appliances allow multiple computers in the home or
office to share printers, files, broadband connections and more.
- AsokaUSA Corporation, a subsidiary of Asoka Corporation, Taiwan, was formed
in 2001 to develop home and small office network products for U.S. markets.
The parent company, Asoka of Taiwan, makes computer and gaming products
and had over $35 million in revenue last year.
- AsokaUSA PlugLink networks are comparable in speeds to other forms of
home networking and is much more affordable. PlugLink moves data at up to
14 mps and includes 56-bit DES encryption for security within the network.
- AsokaUSA is part of the HomePlug Powerline Alliance, which has set the
only approved standard for home electrical line networking technology. PlugLink
appliances have been certified by the HomePlug Powerline Alliance as having
met their rigorous standards for interoperability and performance.
- AsokaUSA PlugLink devices can be used to connect up to 16 computers and
other devices to create a unified network in the home or office. PlugLink
replaces costly DSL and difficult to use wireless options, is simple to
connect, requiring no special skills.
- AsokaUSA PlugLink networks can be run on Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP
operating systems and have been approved by the FCC and United Laboratories.
- AsokaUSA Pluglink appliances will be available to consumers in the summer
of 2002.

Our Product
The PlugLink USB Bridge is 9 inches wide, six inches deep and
2 inches high. It can be mounted on the wall, under a table or desk top or concealed
behind a desk. It has four LED indicators including "power" and "active"
lights, a USB port and a standard 120-volt power cord.
The PlugLink Ethernet Bridge is 9 inches wide, six inches deep
and 2 inches high. It can be mounted on the wall, under a table or desk top
or concealed behind a desk. It has four LED indicators including "power"
and "active" lights, a power switch, an Ethernet port and a standard
120-volt power cord.
How the Network Operates
AsokaUSA PlugLink bridges can be used together or the PlugLink
USB bridge can be used alone.
The PlugLink USB Bridge can be used to network a home or small office without
running cable to each room!
The PlugLink Ethernet Bridge can be used to provide DSL access for all users
without running cable and installing DSL ports in every room!
