Freelance News Service has been supplying marketing copy from text and photos to complete on-line publications for the business community since 1996. We have helped organizations like the Consumers Union and Schools of the Sacred Heart San Francisco reach their target audiences with thoughtful, well-organized, timely publications, documents and newsletters.
Community News Harker School publishes Harker News every month during hte school year. The prestigious school, known for its math and science programs keeps parents and alumni informed on news and events from the student body of nearly 1,600 and 200-strong faculty and staff that make the school unique in Silicon Valley. |
Fall Gallery In 2005, Schools of the Sacred Heart decided to put their Fall Gallery online to save time and the over $8,000 cost of printing a high quality publication and mailing it to 3,000 members of the community. The end result was a colorful, flexible document that recieved approximately 1,000 visits through newsletter and web site links. Freelance News Service provided copy, photo editing and website construction. |
E-Newsletters These newsletters were created on a Mac using the Thunderbird email program to create a user-friendly document that includes internal and external links. Web statistics show a marked leap in visits following each E-newsletter. Downloads of pdfs and secondary page visits spike the day after each ENFO is sent. |
Marketing Copy FNS has been providing high quality articles for newspapers and magazines since 1996. Publishers include the Alameda Newspaper Group, the Modesto Bee and Alexander and Edwards Publishing (Apartment Finance Today). These articles draw readers to the publication to strengthen advertising numbers and provide valuable data to readers. |
Public Relations Outreach In conjunction with two other public relations professionals, we contacted about 80 news and analyst organzations for SkyPilot Networks and scheduled 19 interviews with company principals in a three week period. FNS handled 40% of the contacts and brought in both senior analysts and one of the two senior editors requested by the client. |
Technology Conference Outreach The Consumers Union, publisher of the highly respected Consumer Reports seeks to establish disclosure and other standards for those doing business on the World Wide Web. FNS contracted to identify the top 300 legitimate websites used by consumers, verify the company executive responsible for web development and identify potential corporate and academic speakers. Ultimately, the Consumers Union requested that FNS make follow up calls to invitees to encourage attendence, resulting in a 20% success rate from a field of 108. |
Complete PR Campaign and Client Presentation Asoka Networks was debuting its powerline networking hardware and FNS orchestrated the team that built a class-A campaign. In addition to the campaign itself, FNS created a Powerpoint presentation used to sell the client on the plan. |
